This is the time of year for giving and receiving, sometimes consumer goods but most often there is an exchange of good will and affection. We at the Untenable Podcast are no different.
As we previously expressed in our Thanksgiving post, Mike and I are extremely grateful for your loyalty and listener and readership. We began in August with a simple goal to be another entry in a sea of “talking head” podcasts that is not specifically about anything in particular, but is an opportunity for lifelong friends to sit around and talk about geeky topics such as movies, games, comics, or anything that strikes us as worthy of discussion.
The past month or so has been a little off-kilter because we chose to record extra long episodes and chop them up for staggered distribution. This was done to ensure that we provide consistent content for you guys (and gals – I’m not the sexist, that’s Mike). Anywho, we wish that our episodes were more timely, but we knew that life would get in the way of consistent recording, so we did what we could to provide consistency.
I know I’m singing a similar tune here, but I do so in order to let you guys (and ladies – shit, I’m quickly turning into the sexist) to make a promise. I, we, promise to do our best to continue bringing you all content, rain or shine, whether written or recorded, every week will have a posting. With SoundCloud we’ve been able to add “exclusive” content, such as our latest four hour entry, of which will be cut down to upload to our iTunes feed as our last official episode of the year. Concurrently on the SoundCloud account, we will record another extended episode full of our ramblings and predictions for the new year. The next iTunes episode will be a review episode for our holiday gaming and movie experiences.
Again, we cannot express how much we appreciate your continued listenership and loyalty to our humble podcast and blog. As a quasi-gift, we present you the link to legally download the greatest gift that capitalism and democracy can give movie fans: Sony’s official feeds to rent or purchase streams to their international incide….I mean, movie, The Interview. You can bet that once Mike and I watch this movie, either streamed or at the Alamo Drafthouse, we will talk about it.
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanzaa, or whatever Holiday you celebrate in whichever part of the world you reside in. You are integral part of our success and you are greatly appreciated.
Mike and Jay
